Recommendations for creation of Layout - DXF-files for further use at POG – Layout Design

Recommendations
|
- the conversion into DXF-file must be provided for format AutoCAD, Release 11, 12 or LT.
- another possibilty is the delivery of GDS2 & CIF files
- the transfer of pixel based formats (e.g. bmp) is also possible upon request
- all pattern elements must consist of closed contours i.e. circles, rectangles, polygons, closed curves.
- pen width / line thickness must be set to “zero” or “minimal”
- all values must be stored in the metrical system, in units of “mm” using “comma” instead of decimal point
- ring-shaped pattern must be converted as polygons and must be divided at least one time (as the accuracy of approximation is limited, it is recommended to scale the whole pattern e.g. by factor 1000)
- characters must be imaged and converted into polygons, if this is not possible, convertible True – Type Fonts from MS WINDOWS must be used (USA – Light is recommended)
- for creation of Layout-Files up to 50 Layers can be used
